Ok if I had to eat at only one restaurant for the REST of my life this would be it!!!! I 5 star this place every chance I get. They are so sweet and have been since the day they opened! I love the chefs and staff. They are truly amazing and skilled. This is my favorite place!

I'm a bit of a Sushi fanatic and Sawara, in my opinion, is excellent. Everything tastes really fresh and, at this point, I have complete faith that I'll like anything I get. I encourage anyone to try their signature dishes/rolls, such as the Ahi Tuna Tower or Super Lava. Every one of these that I've ordered has been phenomenal. Additionally, my SO has a gluten allergy, and Sawara is quite accommodating for her. They have plenty of gluten-free options, including gluten-free soy sauce. The only downside to Sawara is that it's not a traditional dine-in restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. This is perfectly fine for me, but if you're looking for more of a sit-down service meal, this isn't exactly that.

Will always be our favorite sushi place! They're fast, friendly, and their food is delicious, for such a low price. The owners make us feel like family every time we eat there, too. I don't think I will ever go to another sushi place in Colorado! I recommend the sushi burrito, the go willy, and the miso soup.

Food and service has been always been great every time we order from here. Never actually eat-in here, but each time we order take out the food has been delicious. Always get the sushi tray because give more bang for your buck.

We moved to Castle Rock about 4 years ago and have been ordering take out around 2-3 times a month. Sawara has never failed me. My wife has a gluten allergy and they have a gluten free menu and always accommodate that without fail. If you want amazing, reasonably priced sushi without worry about food allergies, this is your place. The shumai slaps. Always 5 stars! Ryan S and Cheryl R

INCREDIBLE food. I've never had a poke bowl before but I'm definitely going to in the future. Reasonably priced and I hurt myself eating too much with how good everything was. 10/10, fantastic treat after a long day of work

Authentic, wonderful tasting Japanese sushi in Castle Rock, and INCREDIBLE fried rice. Very understated establishment that deserves far more for their consistent culinary excellence.

Ordered two vegetarian rolls (summer and heart attack) and was disappointed. The rolls were drowning in sauce and that’s really all you could taste. The ingredients seemed fresh, but I could only taste the sauce, which was overpowering. Also, the summer roll was supposed to have tomato in it and didn’t. I realize I’m eating vegetarian sushi but all their veggie rolls are nearly the same—avocado and cucumber. There are so many other ingredients you could have in a veggie roll to add variety (carrot, asparagus, sweet potato, eggplant, etc.) and this was just lacking. Probably won’t come back, I’d rather drive up to Denver for decent sushi, as I haven’t had any good vegetarian sushi in castle rock sadly.
